Custom ARR dashboards powered by Equals
We are excited to launch our new ARR Dashboard powered by Equals, giving fast-growing teams custom dashboards to view their SaaS Metrics including ARR, MRR, churn, expansion revenue, cohort analysis and more.
Revenue is the lifeblood of a business but tracking revenue is still so painful in many SaaS companies. Finance & Commercial teams often spend more time creating revenue reports than extracting useful insights from them.
At Sequence, our mission is to enable B2B companies to achieve automated and accurate revenue collection for every contract in their business.
Today we’re excited to give Finance teams the ability to feed Sequence data into a custom ARR dashboard in real time to gain insights into their revenue trends and drill into the data. How has revenue changed month on month? What products or customer segments are driving expansion? How does revenue breakdown between subscription fees and usage? Has there been an uptick in churn?
We’ve partnered with Equals because of their highly flexible approach to building ARR reporting. Equals is a spreadsheet connected to live data, and is used by many of the fastest growing companies including Intercom, Attio and Notion. Through the Sequence x Equals dashboard, teams will be able to feed live data directly into Equals to build customised reports and use a spreadsheet interface to query the numbers and model scenarios.
Customizable ARR dashboards, out of the box
At Sequence, we’re powering billing and quoting workflows for B2B companies with custom pricing. Having worked with dozens of Finance and RevOps leaders in the B2B SaaS domain, we consistently see that every business has a slightly different approach to ARR reporting. For example, usage based companies don’t know their recurring revenue upfront, it varies over time (often with strong seasonality), so breaking out usage revenue from fixed recurring revenue is critical to be able to forecast revenue accurately over time. Similarly, seat based companies will want to track seat upgrades and downgrades over time. Other companies bill based on project milestones, where being able to view the timing of realized revenue is critical. One size fits all dashboards don’t work. Instead teams need customized reporting that fits the shape of their business model and adapts as pricing and customer segments change.
Our new Equals powered dashboard gives users full customisation of their dashboard to bring relevant and powerful SaaS metrics and revenue forecasting into their business. This means teams can visualise revenue data exactly how they want, see the components of revenue and drill down by customer, product or plan - whatever matters to your team.
Sequence customers love the fact that the Equals team takes on all of the work in creating their custom reporting dashboards. It means that new users can leverage all key SaaS metrics from the first login. Zero time invested in building the workbook, and because it functions like a spreadsheet, there’s also no training time involved.
Always have the latest numbers
Data stacks can be expensive and confusing, and many finance teams don’t have the engineering and data resources to build custom dashboards in their BI tool.
With automated data feeds from Sequence, teams can refresh dashboards every minute, hour, day or week. Embeds allow teams to place their dashboards on any page with a simple HTML snippet, and scheduled delivery enables finance teams to share reports by email or slack each morning, to keep everyone in the business on the same page. Smart permissioning features mean you can restrict access to specific people or allow anyone with a link to view.
A spreadsheet with live data feeds
The Sequence x Equals dashboard gives finance teams way more power than your standard static dashboard page. Behind the dashboard is a fully fledged spreadsheet where you can navigate across cells and write formulas. Teams can do everything they can in GSheets or Excel, but with a direct live connection to Sequence data. This means writing formulas on top of the data to build out forecasts, multi-player collaboration, freeze panes, pivot tables and everything else that makes spreadsheets great, but this time with live revenue data feeds. More so, teams can query data right from the sheet using SQL or an AI based query builder.
Giving finance teams superpowers
Our new Equals powered ARR dashboard is one of the many ways Sequence is helping finance teams to operate with 10x efficiency, control and insight. Alongside our flexible CPQ, Billing and Revenue Recognition modules, this reinforces how today’s fast growing finance teams can retain agility in pricing on the sales side whilst ensuring accurate revenue collection and reporting. We are continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible in this space by creating new ways for businesses to make actionable decisions using revenue data. Watch this space.
